Spotlight on Patient Registration & Patient Accounts

Patient Registration

Patient Registration staff members are devoted to assisting patients in registering, selecting, or changing their primary care physicians and answering eligibility questions patients might have about the HUHS practice.

If a patient wants to change their personal information, such as their address or insurance provider, a Patient Registration staff member will help update their account.

Patient Registration is available from 8:30 am-4:30 pm (EST), Monday-Friday, by calling (617) 495-5795 or by emailing registration@huhs.harvard.edu.

Patient Accounts

Patient Accounts staff members help patients by collecting copayments for services provided, answering questions about billing statements, and making sure all billing is done appropriately.

Patient Accounts staff members are committed to sharing information to help patients understand their billing, such as:

  • Rights & protections against surprise medical bills
  • Understanding preventive health exam (physical exam) billing
  • Telemedicine cost-sharing
  • Cost estimates

Patient Accounts is available from 8:30 am-4:30 pm (EST), Monday-Friday, by calling (617) 496-8700 or by emailing billing@huhs.harvard.edu.

In the midst of many decades of evolution, there remains a deeply rooted culture – created by a carefully calibrated system between HUGHP and the HUHS clinical practice – that ensures members of the Harvard community are provided with high-quality care, comprehensive health plan coverage, and personalized customer service. On behalf of HUGHP, we thank Patient Registration and Patient Accounts for all their significant contributions to ensuring quality service for our patients!
